This is not the holiday you were looking for.
Thanksgiving is over, thank goodness. This year, I’m just thankful I made it through.
In other news, I’m beginning to feel the first faint stirrings of worry about yarn quantity for the HoJo sweater. So I borrowed a page from Marlena’s book:
I almost got through the branching rib chart last night, and still have a decent amount of yarn left in the first ball. Hopefully I’ll be okay! Meanwhile, my mind is consumed by small projects. I don’t want to cast on for any until the main knitting for HoJo is done, but in the running: An alligator scarf for Jacob, a silk rhapsody scarf for a friend, a malabrigo hat/mitten set for my father’s girlfriend, a shedir for my sister-in-law’s mother (who is going through chemo again), endpaper mitts for this cold, cold house, an indoor cap for hubby, socks…
Yeah. I’m having a little trouble focusing. What of it? :)

The sweater is looking fantastic. I know what you mean about distraction — I am plugging away on a scarf and want to cast on for other things too!
Well the sweater is looking good. I have been so distracted from my fair isle that I have put it out of sight to stop the guilt!!!
The sweater looks good. Fingers crossed that you don’t run out of yarn. At least small projects go fast so you don’t have to have guilt because by the time that you do the project is done!
Your HoJo sweater looks incredible! I really like the colors and how it is turning out!
The sweater is looking good. If you’ve just bought the yarn, you shouldn’t worry too much. It is likely that the store you bought it in will still have a few skeins in the same dye lots. If they allow returns, check now and buy a few more.
I’ve just rummaged through my stash to do some last minute mittens, and I’m frantic because I can’t find anything really suitable–or that I’m willing to part with. The clock is sure ticking. One person may get a plant instead.
If the blue yarn starts looking like it might run out, just relocate the skipped fair isle bands there — mid-forearm, crest of shoulder (depending on sleeve-knitting direction) — problem solved! (Just kidding, of course! :)

HoJo is looking fantastic. I think you’re going to be fine on yarn consumption. I don’t know why, but I can just *feel* it. In the meantime, I say just enjoy contemplating all the future project ideas, that’s part of the fun.
The HoJo sweater is looking beautiful. I hope you are going to have enough yarn so we can see it finished soon. I know what you mean by smaller projects though. I am casting on my fourth WIP tonight and thinking about fifth one.
