Weekend!

Posted on 16 August 2007

I’m headed to Maine for the funeral this weekend, and my travel itinerary (bus, plane, andtrain!) is a little nightmarish. Fortunately, I’ll have my knitting with me, and even more fortunately, this is no longer among my knitting:

Blocking will have to wait until I return, but hooray! The darn shawl is done done done!

Jacob wasted no time in appropriating it for himself. Shawls make fun toys, don’t ya know.

Up next in the queue: Sidewinders (and if they don’t make that STR behave, by golly, there’ll be another darn giveaway) and the cable-yoke sweater from “Wish You Were Here”, for my friend Neil.

See you Tuesday!

If there’s nothing else good about the trip, you will at least get those new projects started nicely.

I love the Jacob shots! Is that boy ever grumpy at all?

Man, those Jacob photos are cute. Can I send you my wips to get some adorable photoshoots?

I’m sorry to hear about your grandmother, I just saw that now. I’m a behind a bit on my blog reading, it seems.

The shawl looks great. I’ll look forward to seeing you (or Jacob) modeling it after it’s blocked.

    Ohhh, the red shawl. Gorgeous!

When the lace looks that good un-blocked, you know it’s going to be a stunning shawl. Have a safe trip. May you and your family find strength in each other and feel peaceful after the funeral.
